Itinerary
Day 1. - Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Malaga Pass - Santa Maria - Santa Teresa
We pick you up at 7:00 am from your hotel, our private and tourist transport Will drive us to the Sacred Valley through Chinchero, the first stop is at Ollantaytambo, a small village 90 km – 56 mi away from the city of Cusco, you can have a nice breakfast at the place where we stop and also you can provide yourslef of some snacks and missed supplies necesary for you trip.
The drive continues toward Malaga Pass (the highest point of our trip), where the downhill biking activity starts, all the equipment is provided by us. 3 hours approximately takes the activity all way down until Huamanmarca, some breaks are obligated basically to have some snaks, take pictures and more, there at Huamanmarca we pack the biking staff and continue to Santa Maria on the van.
Our lunch time wil be for around 1 hour followed by the Rafting activity which takes 3 hours, the river speed is between 1-3+, after that we return to Santa Maria then we catch one of the local van son the way to Santa Teresa, the drive takes 45 minutes (The visit to the hot springs is optional in this version), the day ends with a delicious dinner at one of the beautiful restaurant in Santa Teresa.
Day 2. - Santa Teresa - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Town)
This day starts doing the Zip Line activity, they are the longest and highest in Peru, it continues driving to Hidroelectrica the we hike to Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu town along the railway for 3 hours approximately, we stay in a nice hotel at the town and we have a delicious dinner as well.
Day 3.- Aguas Calientes - Machu picchu - Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
This is our longed day, it starts hiking to the Inca Site of Machupicchu, the tour with the guide takes 2 hours and half, the best places of the citadel are covered, explained and of course Good spots to have the unforgetable pictures.
Once we finish the tour, you have the option to catch the bus or still hike back to Aguas Calientes, after a comforting lunch we catch the train to Ollantaytambo then the bus or van back to Cusco.
