Day 1: Heading to History and Nature

The beginning of the hike on the Inca Trail will be from Chachabamba, this first day of walking is gentle and relaxed, which will allow you to gradually acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the spectacular views of the jungle. The trail will take you through lush cloud forests and ancient archaeological sites before reaching the Wiñaywayna camp “Place where you will have time to rest and have your lunch.”
The journey after the rest in Wiñaywayna is much simpler than the first section, it will be mostly under the shade along a narrow path in the upper reaches of the Urubamba River valley.
The Intipunku or Sun Gate is the first point located at the top of the mountains, from where you will have the first view of the Inca Citadel of Machupicchu, some memorable photos then the walk continues down to the Inca citadel of Machupicchu, the final point of the tour will be on the upper platform very close to the guardian’s house, also known as the classic photo platform.
The bus transportation will be the way to reach the Town of Machupicchu through a 25-minute zigzagging road, the view from the bus could be scared or amazing since you have the Machupicchu canyon on your eyes. The day ends with a stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Discovering Machupicchu
After a restful night in a hotel in the town of Machupicchu which is located in the middle of nature, you will wake up early for an energetic breakfast. The second day is the highlight of your trip, as you will get closer to the jewel of the crown: Machu Picchu, through the magnificent story told by your guide.
Your guide will take you through the fascinating secrets of this Inca citadel, explaining the function of its buildings, the importance of its agricultural terraces and the magnificence of its architecture, also passing by the main points to take the best photos of your life.
After visiting Machupicchu, you will have free time for lunch before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo then the tourist transportation back to Cusco.
