Itinerary

Cusco - Moray Inca Laboratory - Maras Salt Ponds

Our excursion begins picking you up from your hotel at 8:30 in the morning, our private bus driven by a professional and enthusiastic driver will head on direction to the northwest of Cusco City, the places to visit are:

Colonial Town of Maras: Located to the northwest of Cusco at 3385 meters above sea level, we can see the Vilcanota Mountain Range and some snowy peaks from there, "La Verónica" (5682 m.a.s.l.) and "Chicon" (5530 m.a.s.l.) are some of them.

Inca Site of Moray: It is located about 7 km to the west of Maras; It is an archaeological group of this region and considered as one of the most important in the Sacred Valley, there are gigantic natural depressions or holes which were used to build agricultural terraces along their contours with their respective irrigation channels, this is also called as the Inca Laboratory.

Salt Pool of Maras: "Salt mines", located to the north of Maras district, there are about 3000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m² each, during the dry season they are filled every 3 days with saltwater that emanates from a natural spring located in the upper part of the wells so when the water evaporates, the salt solidifies gradually.The
