Itinerary:

  • Pick up from Cusco´s Airport and Transfer to your respective Hotel in the city.
  • Relaxing morning to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

  • Tourist transportation ride from Cusco to Ollantaytambo train station.
  • Tourist train journey from Ollantaytambo to Km 104 "Chachabamba".
  • Arrival at Chachabamba after 1 hour and 15 minutes train ride.
  • Inca Trail check-in with control of permits and passports.

  • 12 km "7.5 mi" hike from Chachabamba to the Inca Citadel of Machupicchu.

  • Arrival in Aguas Calientes and transfer to the hotel.
  • Hotel check-in and free time to rest or explore the town on your own.
  • Dinner at a turist restaurant in Aguas Calientes.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight in Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Pueblo".

  • Meeting with our tour guide at your hotel (Schedule based on Machu Picchu entry time).
  • Transfer to the bus station in Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Pueblo".
  • Bus drive up to Machu Picchu Inca Site "World Wonder".
  • Check-in at the Machu Picchu entrance and guided tour of the citadel (Circuit and time of visit according to the ticket booked).
  • Bus drive down to Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Pueblo".

  • Transfer to the train station in Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Pueblo".
  • Tourist Train journey from Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Pueblo" to Ollantaytambo.
  • Pick-up at Ollantaytambo Train Station and transfer to Cusco City in our tourist transportation.
  • Arrival in Cusco after approximately 4 hours of travel from Aguas Calientes (train + ride).
  • Overnight in Cusco.

  • Van ride for 1 more hour to Soraypampa (End of road).

  • Return to Soraypampa "Bus station".

  • Arrival in Cusco between 3:00 - 5:00 pm, depending on traffic conditions.
  • Overnight in Cusco.
  • Early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco city (Between 3:30 to 4:00 in the morning).
  • Van ride for an approximately 2 hours Cusipata (Place to have breakfast).
  • Enjoy a delicious and traditional breakfast.
  • Van ride for 1 more hour to Vinicunca check point (End of road).
  • Beginning of the hike (Approximately 2 hours, with the option to hire horses).
  • Arrival at Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain followed by time to explore and capture lovely photos.
  • Optional hike to the Red Valley (additional entrance fee applies).
  • Return to the trailhead "Bus station".

Climb to Huaynapicchu Mountain:

It is a peak located behind the Archaeological Site of Machu Picchu “when we see taken from the classic photo place”, the climb to Huaynapicchu Mountain takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The trail consists starting with some flat and downhill sections followed by a long uphill stair until the top, the views are completely different to the regular ones. It is important to book in advance since there are limited spots each day, the price for this circuit is also more expensive than others. Climb to Machu Picchu Mountain:

Another additional circuit to do is the Machu Picchu Mountain, the hike up to the top takes between 1 hour and a half to 2 hours through the ancestral trail, the views from each of the resting points are stunning and perfect for the panoramic photos, there is also a limited availability and also with an extra cost.
